My practice seeks to examine the history and influences that have led to our current cultural moment. From the tribal rituals of live sport to hazy Oz-stalgia to sun-bleached carseats, I aim to question the classical image of Australia and present a reality worth celebrating.
Currently working on a docu-photobook exploring the history of gold-mining in Western Victoria, through the lens of modern-treasure hunters.

Approaching the theme head-on, I have selected my two favourite photos from the last year where light is central to the story: casting shadows against pristine suburban hedges and the harsh blend of steel, plastic and dirt in central Australia.
