Borrowed Light

These photographs begin with ordinary encounters with light, but stay with the moment just after something has shifted. A sky is held beneath an umbrella, objects drift above the street like a brief impossible constellation, and an unlit lamp is touched by borrowed light. I am interested in these quiet transformations, when the ordinary becomes intimate, unstable, and faintly unreal. In response to Afterglow, the work dwells in what remains: warmth, atmosphere, projection, and the delicate emotional residue that light leaves behind.
