Mira is a photographer whose work explores storytelling through light, memory and fleeting moments. Her practice began with film photography following a personal loss, and she has been obsessed documenting the everyday life. She has worked as a photo editor for a newswire and later in publishing, curating imagery for a wide range of books.
In recent years, Mira has focused on street photography in Australia, Japan and Singapore. Across all her work, she is drawn to the transient nature of light - how it transforms surfaces, textures and feelings in an instant.

This series captures the final moments of daylight along the shoreline at Cape Woolamai, where the sun’s retreat transforms the ocean’s surface into shifting fields of gold. As each wave arrives and recedes, light scatters, gathers, and dissolves - creating fleeting textures that exist only for seconds.
Each frame holds a slightly different configuration of light, revealing how quickly atmosphere and perception can shift.
The work responds to Afterglow by treating light not only as a visual element, but as an emotional presence - something that lingers, transforms and leaves subtle traces even as it fades. These photographs invite viewers to dwell in that in-between state, where light is no longer constant but still deeply felt.
