Angela Barrow is a photographer based in Gippsland whose practice is driven by a search for emotional resonance and a sense of awe. Self-taught since twelve years old, she has spent decades refining her eye, moving fluidly between architectural landscapes, street photography, and intimate human portraiture. She lets the emotional weight of a subject dictate her visual approach, utilizing both digital photography and analog film. By using thoughtful, minimal angles she aims to strip away distractions and reveal the core essence of a scene.
Whether capturing the expansive geometry of a building or isolating the soft abstract lines of the human form, she seeks to uncover the quiet beauty within a single moment. Her work has been featured in group exhibitions across Australia and internationally, including the HeadOn Photo Festival, Sydney, with the Unexposed Collective, the Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival with Women Street Photographers, and included in various exhibitions with the Australian Association of Street Photographers (AASPI).

Let me breathe you in: Remembrance (Blue) This minimalist, monochromatic portrait explores ‘Afterglow’ as the emotional echo of human intimacy, using light and colour to chart the feelings of a past connection.
