Shiree is a modern impressionist painter and multi textile artist. She is inspired by the expressive paint styles and vibrancy of the early post modern art movements as well as her own personal connection to nature. As an artist who was raised by an art and music teacher Shiree's paintings depict a desire to create art rooted in play; using color, light, and texture to create art that reflects her own philosophy of never losing your inner child.

My artworks are an interpretation of memory. I use colour and light to depict the fluidity of time and how it is perceived through the lens of our own emotions. Time is always moving and growing and interloping with one another. My artworks reflect on how our memories aren't truly linear as we relive, repress and relish moments. How we feel about memories can change and is depicted in the transforming lines and colours. There is always light and warmth that can be found and if we nurture ourselves, there is always time to grow and blossom.
