My name is Juan Pablo Cortina. I am 25 years old and I am from Mexico. My love for photography began six years ago when I tried out a film camera that my father had given me a few years earlier. Since then, I have found a way to give meaning to my life through creating art. I believe that just as a doctor heals the body, art heals what makes us who we are.

This series of pieces centers on a character who moves through artificial spaces, where the structure increasingly absorbs the human within it. We lose what allows us to give meaning to life in our attempt to become just another part of the structure.
